Dental Bridges

The dental bridge placement procedure is non-invasive, meaning it is completed in as few as a couple visits to the dentist’s office.  Abutment teeth are used to support the dental bridge placed in your mouth.  These abutment teeth are on the sides of the tooth, the teeth to be replaced or those that are missing.  Dental crowns are positioned on the abutment teeth to guarantee the dental bridge has the proper level of support.  This approach bolsters tooth strength while simultaneously improving cosmetic flaws, ensuring the bridge lasts for as long as possible without sacrificing your smile aesthetic.

The dental bridge placement process is nothing to fear.  Dr. Alvarez starts out the process by recontouring the teeth next to the area that requires the bridge.  These teeth will be cleaned and a small amount of their enamel might be removed so the bridge fits just right.  Dr. Alvarez will take dental impressions to create the dental crowns within a dental laboratory.  Once the crowns are prepared, they will be returned to the dentist for placement.  The dental bridge is then attached, replacing part of the missing teeth to complete the process.
